Japanese trading firm Marubeni is employing a floating storage strategy by chartering two LNG tankers for four to five months in the hope of selling LNG at higher prices.The cargoes are for floating storage, waiting for winter demand to pick up later this year in northeast Asia, one trader said in the Manila Bulletin. Marubeni secured fuel in the spot market from Egypt and has deployed Clean Force and Trinity Glory, currently anchored off Malaysia and the Singapore Strait.
